Our Youth Club programme offers fun and action packed sessions across a variety of sports and recreational activities for younger members aged between 8-21 yrs.
The Youth Club enables our youth to learn new skills and to form friendships with other youth in the Waikato who also have a physical disability or vision impairment.
We include other family members such as siblings/parents and extended family to add value to our recreational activities.
Sessions are run in a supportive environment and may provide a pathway for our youth to one day participate in a competitive environment.
Some of the sports and recreational activities that we offer are: athletics, swimming, ten-pin bowling, rock climbing, badminton, table tennis, archery, trike cycling, adaptive indoor rowing and athletics.
The Halberg Games are a highlight of each year. The Youth Club make up a big part of the Parafed Waikato team. For more information about the Halberg Games, refer to the Halberg Games tab under “Youth”.
