Wheelchair Basketball

28 March | 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Wheelchair basketball is similar to able-bodied basketball, the size of the court, hoops and balls are all the same. The only difference is that a player must dribble the ball every two pushes; otherwise that player will be called for travelling.

In order to play wheelchair basketball a player must have a physical disability in their legs which prevents them from running and jumping. However, at Parafed Waikato non-disabled players are also welcomed to play.

There is a youth team and also a senior team that plays in national and regional champs.

Training is held at The Peak, 60 Kimbrae Dr, Rototuna from 6pm to 8pm.

If you are interested, kindly contact Francis on [email protected] or PH 027 772 0267.
